Tyson Fury: Scott is a Bitch, Wilder is Too – I’d Fight Both on Same Night!

Boxing Scene

WBC heavyweight champion Tyson Fury has taken aim at Deontay Wilder and his assistant trainer, retired heavyweight Malik Scott.

Fury fought Wilder twice – going to a controversial twelve round split draw in their 2018 encounter, and then stopping him in the seventh round of their rematch in February 2020.

Wilder exercised an immediate rematch – but the third meeting never came off.

The bout was delayed a few times due to the coronavirus pandemic.

Eventually, Fury and his handlers took the position that Wilder’s rematch clause had expired.

Wilder initiated a legal action to enforce the rematch clause. Both sides are engaged in an arbitration, with a ruling expected by the end of this month.

Wilder, 35-years-old, has not fought since suffering the loss to Fury.

In the last few weeks, Wilder has returned to active training with Scott assisting him in the gym.

And Fury had a very firm message for both men.

“Malik Scott’s a bitch, and so is Deontay Wilder. And I’ll fight both of them, one after the other, on the same night. And smack ‘em round, like p-ssies what they are,” Fury told Fighthype.com.

“You can’t teach an old dog new tricks. And once I’ve got his heart and his mojo, it’s right here in me pocket. So, if you want them Deontay, come and fight the Gypsy King and come and take what I’ve got belonging to you.”

Fury is close to finalizing a full division unification clash with IBF, WBO, IBO, WBA heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua.

The two sides are currently working out the particulars of the site fee agreement, with August 14th currently locked in as the target date. The first of a two-fight series would take place in Saudi Arabia.
