Panel: What do you expect to happen when Artur Beterbiev and Anthony Yarde meet tonight?

Latest

Wayne Alexander (Former European super-welterweight champion)

I expect them to put on a good and exciting fight because both have aggressive, big-punching styles. Yarde has some good KO stats and is younger and hungry, but Berterbiev has a 100 percent KO record against better opponents. That’s why I believe that after a hard-fought first half of the fight Artur’s extra world-class experience will secure him a late stoppage or points win against Yarde.

Nate Collins (Commonwealth featherweight champion)

I can’t see past an Artur Beterbiev knockout victory. I would be shocked to see Yarde go past six rounds, to be honest. Beterbiev is an animal.

Dave Allen (Heavyweight contender)

Beterbiev by stoppage is the only pick you can make on all known form. However, he’s getting no younger and making 175 can’t be getting any easier. Yarde is good enough and has the power to be called a live outsider but, still, I don’t think he will see halfway.

Declan Warrington (Journalist)

If Yarde gets his tactics right it’ll become a shootout Beterbiev wins inside four-to-six rounds that’ll do little harm to Yarde’s reputation. Beterbiev-Dmitry Bivol then becomes even more essential.
