Greg Outlaw vs. Juan Meza Angulo On July 15th In Maryland

Boxing Scene

The development of both Greg Outlaw (12-1, 6 KOs) and Juan Meza Angulo (7-1, 4 KOs) was going along just fine. Although they came from two completely different sides of the globe, their super lightweight trajectory mirrored one another. But while they both racked up the wins, they also suffered a head-scratching defeats.

For Outlaw, his came on June 5th, 2021 against Andrew Rodgers, a middling journeyman with a record of just 4-9-2. One year later, Angulo would also lose his undefeated record in flummoxing and unexpected fashion. With the Mexican native losing a split decision to Omar Olvera Contreras, another journeyman with a record under .500, both Outlaw and Angulo needed a reset. After banking a few wins, five consecutive for Outlaw and one for Angulo, a third-round stoppage earlier this year – the pair will now meet in the main event slot on July 15th, at the Maryland Live Casino in Hanover, Maryland.

Jeter Promotions is hoping that the duo will leave a lasting impression on those who decided to plunk down their hard-earned cash to check out the show live. While Outlaw and Angulo are the draws, the two aren’t the only ones ready to show off their skills.

A long list of undefeated prospects, including Mansaborie Conde, Joseph Veazey, Ahmad Muhammad Jones, and Francois Scarboro Jr., are hoping to push their careers in the right direction. The eclectic card will also feature a number of fresh-faced newcomers.

Mehki Phillips will officially make his pro debut against fellow newbie Kenneth Agnew. Jeffrey Glossner will also join in on the fun as he makes his first appearance on the pro stage against Joshua Delgadillo.

With Jeter Promotions aiming to produce more shows locally before eventually expanding, they’re hoping to score a ton of support from the Maryland area on July 15th.
