Jared Anderson averaged 37 punches per round – far less than his 63 punches per round career average. This reflects Charles Martin being the best opponent Anderson has faced so far.

After Martin had Anderson hurt in the last minute of the fifth round, Anderson steadied himself by throwing a fight high 31 jabs in the sixth round, landing 14 of them.

For the fight, Anderson threw almost as many jabs (183) as power punches (186). Anderson landed 58 jabs to Martin’s 21, and 50 body punches to Martin’s 14. Anderson also connected on 53% of his power punches- higher than his 47.6% career average.

Martin landed/threw fight highs 20 of 57 punches in round 5, hurting Anderson.  Martin then landed just 9 of 33 punches per round in the remaining 5 rounds, rocking Anderson in the final seconds of the fight.
