Cuban heavyweight and WBC International Silver champion Jose Larduet (8-0) headlines Universum Box Promotion show on November 5 at the Rudolf-Weber-Arena in Oberhausen. Larduet defends the title against Ali Kiydin (16-1).

The annual Ben Bril Memorial at the Theater Carré in Amsterdam is back and goes ahead on October 17. In the headliner welterweight Xavier Kohlen (11-1) is in against Belgian Brice Bula Galo (11-3-1). This event is the highlight of the Dutch boxing year.

Former EBU champ and former world title challenger Khoren Gevor (35-10) returned after over three years out and won a technical decision over Lukasz Stanioch (9-1) after five rounds of boxing Friday night in Bielko-Biala, Poland. Gevor was cut after an accidental clash of heads and it went to the scorecards and he won a split decision.

On the undercard Nicaraguan journeyman Pablo Mendoza (12-12) against stopped Damian Kiwior (9-5-1). All of Mendoza’s win has come by KO or TKO and he knocked out Kiwior the first time they fought.

Also in Poland, but in Lomza, heavyweight Michal Boloz (4-4-2) knocked out the favored Andrzej Wawrzyk (33-2) in the second. This was Wawrzyk’s first fight in six years.

Czech cruiserweight champ Vasil Ducar (12-6-1) retained the title with a lopsided decision over Vaclav Pejsar (20-14)  in a ten rounder in Plzen.
