Unbeaten flyweight Gabriela Fundora returns to action tonight, squaring off against Tania Garcia Hernandez at the Sala de Armas in Mexico City.

The eight-round bout will headline a Noche de Box card, which will be promoted by LC Promotions. Both fighters will be vying for the vacant WBC Youth Female flyweight title.

Fundora (9-0 1 NC, 4 knockouts), who resides in Coachella, California, defeated Naomi Arellano Reyes by unanimous decision in her last bout on October 8. She fought on the same card as older brother, junior middleweight contender Sebastian Fundora, who defeated Carlos Ocampo by decision to also remain unbeaten.

The win over Arellano took place over two months after the 20-year-old defeated Lucia Hernandez Nunez. Tonight, Fundora will fight for the 10th time as a pro, fighting often since her pro debut in May 2021.

Along with Sebastian, Gabriela is promoted by Sampson Lewkowicz.

Fundora has mostly fought in both the United States and Mexico. Tonight will mark her sixth fight in Mexico.

Garcia (7-6-2), who resides in nearby Tultitlan, fought to a split-decision draw against Silvia Torres in her last bout on July 23.

Other notable bouts on Garcia’s ledger are a split-decision loss to Sulem Urbina in October 2021 and decision losses to Monserrat Alarcon and Tania Enriquez.

Also on the card, Juan Ortiz Morales, the younger brother of former world titleholder Anabel Ortiz, will make his pro debut against Javier Perez Calderon in a six-round strawweight bout.
