Anthony Olascuaga continues the fast track towards a flyweight title shot.

The ambitious 23-year-old flyweight from Los Angeles enters his second career regional title fight through just his fifth pro bout, as he faces fellow California native Marco Sustaita. Both fighters easily made weight for their scheduled ten-round WBA Fetelatin flyweight title fight, which headlines an ESPN Knockout show Friday evening beginning at 9:00 p.m. ET from Seneca Niagara Resort and Casino in Niagara Falls, New York.

Olascuaga was 111.6 pounds, while Sustaita weighed a trim and fit 111 pounds.

The fight marks the second straight appearance at this venue for Olascuaga (4-0, 2KOs). He fought here on May 13, stopping then-unbeaten Gustavo Perez in the sixth round of their flyweight contest.

Olascuaga has been matched with more experienced foes since turning pro just over two years ago.

“We have high hopes for Anthony ‘Princesa’ Olascuaga to become a world flyweight champion,” Felix ‘Tutico’ Zabala Jr., president and owner of All Star Boxing, Inc., told BoxingScene.com. “He only wants tough fights, and this is no exception.”

Sustaita (13-4-1, 11KOs) ended a three-fight losing streak with a 1st round knockout last August 28 at the Tim Boxeo-approved Big Punch Arena in Tijuana. Among his defeats are an eighth-round stoppage to Jesse ‘Bam’ Rodriguez, who has since captured the WBC junior bantamweight title.

The evening’s chief support pits local favorite Mikiah Kreps and Puerto Rico’s Carmarie Matos Vargas (3-0, 1KOs) in a scheduled six-round bantamweight battle.

Kreps (3-0, 2KOs)—who is managed by Jerry Cazares and former WBO junior lightweight titlist Jamel Herring—weighed 118.4 pounds. Matos was 118.8 for her first stateside appearance as a pro.

Below are the weights for the rest of the undercard, which airs live on ESPN Knockout in Latin America beginning at 9:00 p.m. ET.

Alexander Castellano (8-1, 2KOs), Buffalo, 123.4 pounds vs. Miguel Ángel Carrizo (3-1, 2KOs), Buenos Aires, 122.2 pounds—6 rounds, junior featherweight
